What would you give to remember everything? I have this power. I absorb your memories: when you hear me, you relive them. A first dance. A wedding. The song that played when you got the big news. No other talent gives your life a soundtrack. I am Music. I mark time.

from the Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom.

I paint and make music and blog like a maniac. These days I try to run. But I have chicken legs and lungs the size of two-rupee balloons. I fail. I like pajamas and striped socks and books that read like song and songs that sound like poetry and strangers who read this page. And Maggi when I'm sick or cold or sad or celebrating. They'll find noodles in my veins if ever they cut me open. And potatoes. And maybe a tiny bit of whiskey. I'll be an Unidentified Living Object and they'll put my insides on display. It will be crazy. It will be awesome. It will.

  1. have you read funes the memorius – Borges? this post reminded me of that fabulously profound short story. Because he remembers everything, the world is different every second. A horse with it’s leg up one second is a different horse the next second when its leg is in a slightly different position. The whole world changes for him every moment – the burden of that; memory :)
