Mind = Potentially blown

The best thing about having an amazing library membership is the potentially never-ending stream of mind blowing books all poised to come your way and blow your mind.

The worst thing is, there’s just too much to fucking sift through sometimes. And it sucks when you expect your mind to be blown every single time you pick up a new book. Because it honestly doesn’t happen all that often. Most books aren’t what you expect them to be. I did not expect the one I picked up yesterday to have an amputee in it, for instance. But alright.

While we’re on the subject, and because I feel gloomy and in the mood to make a list, here’s a list of the best three books I’ve discovered through my library so far –

  1. Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood
  2. Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
  3. Salmon Fishing in the Yemen by Paul Torday

That’s all, folks. Clearly I don’t have much to say.

Love always,

Random Advice: Don’t count on it.

I paint and make music and blog like a maniac. These days I try to run. But I have chicken legs and lungs the size of two-rupee balloons. I fail. I like pajamas and striped socks and books that read like song and songs that sound like poetry and strangers who read this page. And Maggi when I'm sick or cold or sad or celebrating. They'll find noodles in my veins if ever they cut me open. And potatoes. And maybe a tiny bit of whiskey. I'll be an Unidentified Living Object and they'll put my insides on display. It will be crazy. It will be awesome. It will.
