The Last Day Of The Year

Look what WordPress sent me on The Last Day Of The Year.

It always makes me feel nice to read my year-end report. And this year, it makes me sort of sad too. I haven’t been here as much as I ought to have been here, Zonk, and that’s not okay. I’m glad you’re still here in spite of my silences and long, unannounced absences. And I’ll be back tomorrow to make my customary disgruntled New Year post.

I love you, Zonk. I really, really do. And I hope you have a nicer time tonight than you intend to.

Love always,
Kitu.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 3,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 5 years to get that many views.

I paint and make music and blog like a maniac. These days I try to run. But I have chicken legs and lungs the size of two-rupee balloons. I fail. I like pajamas and striped socks and books that read like song and songs that sound like poetry and strangers who read this page. And Maggi when I'm sick or cold or sad or celebrating. They'll find noodles in my veins if ever they cut me open. And potatoes. And maybe a tiny bit of whiskey. I'll be an Unidentified Living Object and they'll put my insides on display. It will be crazy. It will be awesome. It will.
